Supplements & Resources
In an ideal world our food would take care of all our nutritional needs, but in the real world that we live in it is normal to have a nutritional deficiency, especially if a client is following a kcal restrictive diet or having digestive or malabsorption problems. There could be a food intolerance, or just not eating the right balance of food. So I set up this page with some links to some of the most common supplements that people may need to supplement with. I have used bulk powders for a long time and find their products as good as any on the market.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see the calculators and other resources.

Now it's possible to get blood tests done with your doctor to make sure all is ok with your health markers and that is really important to keep on top of. But sometimes you may want to get a specific blood test done without going to your doctor and this is where I find medichecks really handy. I have used medichecks several times for a blood test when I want to check if there is any change in markers due to diet changes I am making, or a specific test that the doctor does not have. Medichecks will do a finger prick test, or you can call one of their clinics and get blood drawn and all test results will be delivered to a dashboard you can access on your mobile phone. They will do a doctors report on any tests that are not normal and give you feedback as to where you can change or what you may need to do next to correct the problem. If you click on the picture below it will take you to the medicheck site where you can view the hundred or so of tests that can be bought.
If you haven't done it yet, please install the Adobe Reader app on your mobile to open and fill in any files i may send you

Use this calculator to check your body mass index (BMI) and find out if you have a healthy weight.
The calculator will give you an idea of how your weight compares to common values.
Ideal Weight Calculator
While the BMI calculator above is ok to find out your BMI, it has little use on its own. Now the healthy weight calculator below can be used in conjunction with the caloric calculator to find out your ideal weight and also a healthy weight range which is more helpful. Then you can use the ideal weight numbers and put them into the calorie calculator to see what you should be consuming daily to meet your goals.
